Hello everyone, hope you’re all ok?
This weeks riff comes from the best band that ever graced the popular music scene… The Beatles.
The song I have chosen today for the Riff of The Week, is the great Beatles classic, I Feel Fine This classic guitar riff was written primarily by Lennon, who wanted to write a song around this particular riff that he had written. It was towards the end of the album so everyone else wasn’t really too interested until Lennon cam back with the riff, and the song, and it made the album. And thank God it did. So we can listen to this beautiful riff.
It was also the earliest ever recording of feedback. John Lennon often mentions that he invented feedback as he lay his guitar against his amp. This might be a slight joke but they were the first to put feedback on vinyl.
Anyway here it is:

Hope you get that and build up your riff library.
Here’s how it should sound:

I love the Beatles. I learned chords in high school by playing along to Beatles songs since I knew how they should sound. For Christmas my sister gave me the Beatles’ Complete Scores. It’s great to see how they played stuff.
